accommodations are comfortable and your prices most reasonable. But to find rooms in a lovely, authentic, colonial historical home, identifies a charm often replaced by concrete, and furniture and curtains selected in a central administrative office. Your staff is impeccable. Your folks are like family; a desk staff that always smiles and always helps, in English or in Spanish, attentive maids, restaurant and bar people who breakfast and nightcap guests warmly. That staff had to please Carroll College at the level of our demanding faculty who are experienced travelers, and at the level of out theatre students whose youth asks parental forms of attention. Your hotel lived up to both standards. We always felt safe and more importantly, appreciated. Finally, my gratitude to Chef Manuel Arias, whose table of bocas and flowers, whose wines and attention made inaugural guests from your government, university, and city so comfortable at out inaugural gala reception, and established an atmosphere of hospitality whose friendship continues today.
